Aim

The aim of this course is to provide you with an insight into the theories of international trade and investment and the practice of firms operating across international borders. The internationalisation of national economies and business operations, and other international aspects of society have become a major development in the late twentieth century and have triggered off processes which are likely to continue in the new millennium. During your studies of this course, you will enhance your understanding of the processes and mechanisms of internationalisation and their impact on organisations operating in national and international markets. The course will help you to understand developments in the environment that have influenced the internationalisation of business and will enable you to think strategically and develop and design creative and appropriate strategies to respond to international pressures and challenges.
